1. A July Tale.

    This is the seventh illustration, for the seventh month of A Calendar Of Tales, Neil Gaiman’s project. Actually, it’s become three drawings. I split them up so the words would be better readable.

    I started out with the idea of making a drawing entirely of words - but the figure of the man in the igloo crept in, and made sense. After all, he’s a real human being, trying to hide in a world of words.

    I like the part with the bears best, and how the words came to shape them.
